If a contract has a series of validation checks that ought to occur in sequence, a vulnerability may occur where a ‘success’ state is prematurely assigned. Subsequent necessary conditions can then be bypassed. Octane will detect and flag when success conditions are assigned prematurely and checks are not exhaustive.
